I’ve developed my artwork…

after years of working for a commercial printer. Seeing the lofty aim for perfection through printer’s loops, light tables, customer proofs and re-runs - it was a challenge to achieve consistent, flawless print each time. I found myself enamored with the accidents that happened in the printing process, ink draw downs, make readies, printer cleaning sheets, etc. The complexity required for the paying jobs developed an appreciation for the simple, behind the scenes and mistake based set-up we went through to achieve quality results. I treasured the process, chock full of happy accidents you couldn’t anticipate.

Now I apply this technique to my visual style as I explore themes such as modern day emotions triggered by digital behaviors and the concept of trolls as traditional folklore legends and current internet presence.
